Emergia, a Spanish company which specializes in providing contact center services and  business process outsourcing has opened a new contact center in Manizales, Colombia, with the advantages of a special free trade zone.  According to Emergia, Colombia was selected to continue the company's expansion in Latin America.

Holcim and Paz del Río Steel Mill ready to go ahead with investment plans in 2010

Holcim Colombia, which is part of the Holcim Group, a Swiss multinational conglomerate and one of the largest cement suppliers in the world, is going ahead with a plan to expand its cement manufacturing facility in Nobsa. The project, which includes a vertical mill and silo to store 14,000 tons of products, is expected to create almost 600 jobs.
